Safety Rules

Some years ago, the Inner London Education Authority sent a list of science laboratory safety rules to all its schools. So they could be widely understood, they were in several languages, including Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Turkish, Bengali, Chinese, and Greek.

Unfortunately, English was not among them. As one teacher said “Luckily, I happen to have a teacher here who is fluent in Greek who translated it for us. Otherwise we would never have known what this communication was about.”
